The 2010 class schedule is available below.
You have two options as to how to sign up for workshops and classes.
1) Download the RSVP form, fill it out, and mail it in along with your payment.
2) Use the PayPal shopping cart below to signup and pay for your classes online using a credit card or PayPal.

To use the online shopping cart, follow these instructions. When you click Add to Cart, a new PayPal window will open. Leave this window open as you continue shopping. When you are done selecting your classes, go back to the PayPal window, verify your order, and proceed to Checkout. Please note, you don't have to have a PayPal account. Just click on the link to "continue" to pay with just a credit card.

* Nymphing Techniques for the Provo River with Dusty Kenner
Do you need to improve your nymphing success? Join Dusty as he discusses the best nymphing techniques for the Provo River including rigs, flies, reading the water, etc.

* Advanced Streamer Fishing Techniques with Matt Drahos
Matt is what you might call a streamer junky. If you have the desire to huck some meat, join Matt and learn some of his most effective streamer fishing techniques. Matt is the shop manager at Western Rivers.

* Fly Fishing Saltwater 101 with Ryan Stokes
Ryan will discuss the most important aspects of fly fishing for saltwater fish species; proper gear, flies, and where to go. A must for the saltwater newbie.

* Fly Fishing for Alternative Fish Species with Brent Stout
Learn to catch wipers, bass, carp, tiger muskie, pike, lake trout, bluegill, etc….all in Utah, all on the fly. Brent has done his homework over the years and will share some of his favorite spots and techniques he's used to catch these fish.

* Fly Fishing for Steelhead in the Northwest with Brian O'Keefe
Join Brian (yes, the Brian O'Keefe) as he talks about the many Steelhead opportunities in the Northwest (Oregon, Washington, & parts of Idaho). Brian will share some of his favorite locations and techniques to catch the mighty summer Steelhead.

* Japanese Tenkara Fly Fishing Techniques with Larry Tullis
Tenkara Fly Fishing is a long rod, reeless system that allows the user to make some incredible presentations with dries, emergers, nymphs and wet flies. Larry will show how to choose, rig and use your ultralight 11'-13' Tenkara flyrod. Larry will cover Tenkara rods, leader/lines, tippets, flies, presentations, casting, strategies, philosophies, landing fish and even get some onwater experience. Part one of this workshop will be in the classroom at the Expo. Part two will be onstream Saturday April 3rd where you'll have a chance to try one of the authentic Tenkara rods with Larry.

* Outdoor Digital Photography 101 with Adam Barker
This is the perfect course for the casual point and shooter looking for a proper introduction to the basics of digital photography. Attendees will learn about photography fundamentals like shutter speed, aperture and composition. Additionally, we will take a look at the basics of digital workflow and how best to organize your digital files. * Advanced Outdoor Digital Photography with Adam Barker
Geared towards the amateur photographer with a DSLR, this course will delve deeper into creating engaging images through dynamic composition. We will also discuss lens selection for diverse photo opportunities, how and when to employ useful landscape filters and how to properly expose your digital image by shooting in manual mode. Attendees will be treated to a crash course in Photoshop and how Barker processes his digital images. Check out some of Adam's work at www.adambarkerphotography.com.

* Intro to Fly Fishing and Fly Casting with Jerry Puckett
This class is designed for the beginner fly fisher. Jerry will start in the classroom with a review of all the basics of fly fishing; rods, lines, reels, flies, knots, etc...everything you need to know to get started. Jerry will also take the class outside to learn basic fly casting techniques. This is a great class for youth or beginner fly fishers.

* Intermediate & Advanced Fly Casting Techniques with Mickey Anderson
Learn from a certified casting instructor and take your casting to the next level. Bring your own fly rod if you have one. Mickey works at FISH TECH Outfitters.

* Fly Casting Techniques with David Serdar
Dave will teach you some of the most important fundamental casting techniques. Bring your own fly rod if you have one. David is a Best of the West Casting Champion.

Fly Tying Classes and Workshops
* Tying Effective Streamers with Matt Drahos
The class will cover a variety styles of streamers that utilize unique and durable tying methods. These flies can been used for a variety of game fish. Matt is a streamer fanatic and works at Western Rivers. This is a demo workshop.

* Bringing Double Magic To Your Fishing with Al & Gretchen Beatty
In this demo the Beatty's will share this little-know LaFontaine tying technique that has revolutionized their personal fishing. You don't want to miss the Magic Prince; their go-to Montana pattern! The demo includes their favorite half dozen Magic Flies; some developed by them and others built on a LaFontaine base. This is a demo workshop.

* Putting A Bubble On Your Flies with Al & Gretchen Beatty
In this demo the Beatty's bring their method of building the LaFontaine Antron gas bubble to six more of their must-have patterns. Wait till you see their version of the Sparkled Cripple, it's a killer pattern! This is a demo workshop.

* Tying Effective Utah Nymphs with Marty Howard
Join Marty as he shows you how to tie the most effective nymphs used on Utah's streams and rivers. If you're a beginner or experienced, this class will help you expand your nymph tying skills. This is a tie along class. Bring your own tools and vise. Materials will be provided.

* Beginner Youth Fly Tying Class with Skyler Nelson
This class is designed for the youth in mind, ages 10-18. Join Skyler as he teaches the basics of fly tying; tools, materials, techniques, etc. Parents are welcome to attend. Skyler works at Western Rivers fly shop. This is a tie along class. Tools and vise can be provided if needed. Materials will be provided.

* Tying Foam Flies with Stefanie Jones
Learn tips & tricks for tying with foam along with some of Stefanie's favorite foam flies. This is a tie-along class. Bring your own vise, basic tools and thread. All other materials will be provided. Stefanie is a former commercial tyer for Rainy's Flies.
