* Euro Nymphing Techniques with Lance Egan
Ever wondered what Czech nymphing is all about? Now's your chance to learn from a pro. Join Lance as he explains the nymphing techniques of Czech, French, and Polish, and how you can incorporate them into your fly fishing. He'll discuss casting, leaders, flies, lines, rods, philosophy and more. Lance is a member of the US Fly Fishing Team, casting champion, and current employee at Cabelas fly shop.

* Learn to Fly Fish the South Fork of the Snake in Idaho
The guys from South Fork Outfitters will teach you what, when and how to fly fish the South Fork of the Snake River. Learn from the guys that are on the water every day.

* Fly Fishing Secrets of the Provo River with Four Seasons Fly Shop
The guys from Four Seasons will share some of their secrets of fly fishing the Provo River including flies, techniques, where to go, time of year, etc. These guys fish the Provo River 365 days a year and know it intimately.

* Fly Fishing the South Slope Streams of the Uinta Mountains with Spencer Higga
Join Spencer in a special workshop dedicated to fly fishing streams of the southern slope of the Uintas. Spencer is a guide for Six Lakes and Falcons Ledge and knows the Uinta Basin and south slope streams intimately. He knows all the secret spots.

* The Ten Colors of Tenkara Fly Fishing with Eric Ostrander

This class will introduce you to Tenkara fly fishing. The presentation will cover the “ten Colors” of Tenkara, and introduce Tenkara terminology and rigging, when and where Tenkara is effective and talk about multiple techniques that can be used with a Tenkara rod. The presentation will include a tying demonstration of traditional Tenkara flies as well as a hands-on casting demonstration. Erik is a guide with Tenkara Guides here in Utah.

* Preserving and Protecting the future of Trout Streams by Craig Mathews
This workshop is a look at how anglers and non-anglers can become involved in conservation programs to protect, preserve and enhance what we love as anglers for our kids and grandkids. Craig will explore how he founded the "1% for the Planet” a conservation based alliance of businesses that have donated over $100 million dollars to date for conserving wild trout and wild places. He will also discuss how he helped protect over 50% of the Madison River Valley to date through conservation easements forever protecting wildlife corridors and wild trout habitat for all future generations to enjoy as well as board of directors of The Yellowstone Park Foundation overcame all odds and raised over $22 million to fund the new "Old Faithful Education and Victors Center" at Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park. This is a "do not miss" workshop.

* Dry Fly Essentials with Nate Brumley
Join Nate as he explores the intricacies of reading fishing water for large trout, specific delivey techniques, and essential dry flies for all fishing seasons of the year. It will also include stages of the hatch of still water and alpine fishing. This presentation is enhanced with still and video clips. Need some tips on how to better your "dry fly" fishing, then this workshop is for you. Nate is the owner of Dry Fly Innovations out of Meridian Idaho.

* Winter and Spring Dry Fly Fishing Techniques with Nate Brumley
One of Nate's more popular workshops, this class introduces you to some awesome new fly patterns, techniques on how to deliver dry flies, and strategies on how to fool big fish. The presentation is geared towards Winter and Spring fishing, and is enhanced with multi-media materials. This is a great time of year to improve your winter and spring dry fly fishing.

* Fly Fishing the South Fork of the Snake with Lee Davison
Join Lee as he provides an overview of all you need to know to fly fish the Southfork of the Snake river with success - highlighting geography, flies, techniques and access information. Lee is a certified FFF Master Casting Instructor, owner of Snake River Outfitters, and is the current FFF Western Rocky Mountain Council President. The South Fork of the Snake is Lee's home water.

* Advanced Stillwater Fly Fishing Techniques with Herb Patterson & Jed Stewart
Join Herb and Jed as they breakdown stillwater fly fishing techniques of spring, summer, and fall.  They will cover hatches and flies used for each season.  They will also discuss stillwater destinations here in the West (Pyramid, Scofield Res, Chesterfield, Strawberry Res, Deer Creek, Jordanelle Res, Fontenelle, and the Boulder Mtns) and the best time of year to fish them.  They will also present an overview of equipment to use (lines, rods, reels, and  boat set-up), angler preparation before going on a fishing trip, techniques to increase your catch rate (knots, leaders, stealth, retrieves, reduction of boat and surface noise), and stillwater indicator fishing techniques.  If time allows, they plan to tie a couple of their favorite searching patterns while fishing stillwater.  Herb and Jed are stillwater gurus and have years of experience fly fishing the stillwaters of the West.

* Intro to Fly Fishing and Fly Casting with Jerry Puckett
This class is designed for the beginner fly fisher. Jerry will start in the classroom with a review of all the basics of fly fishing; rods, lines, reels, flies, knots, etc...everything you need to know to get started. Jerry will also take the class to the indoor casting area for fly casting techniques. This is a great class for youth or beginner fly fishers. We are offering two sessions below.

* Do-It Yourself Line Welding Workshop with Lee Davison
Save money! Learn how you can easily weld your own loops, change your line length and make line repairs. This one hour workshop is great fun and offers many an "a ha!" moments. Lee is a certified FFF Master Casting Instructor, owner of Snake River Outfitters, and is the current FFF Western Rocky Mountain Council President.

* Wilderness River Float Trip Fishing: A How-To Primer with Bill Eckerle

Bill Eckerle from Backcountry Hunters and Anglers presents a primer on how to self-outfit your own float fishing (and hunting) trips on wilderness rivers.  Emphasis is on having safe and comfortable trips to remote rivers including Alaskan destinations.  Primer covers equipment choice, arranging air taxi drop offs, river safety, camping comfort, and safety in bear country.  Book and internet resources will be discussed. * Fly Tying Flies for Strawberry Reservoir and Fishing Techniques with Marty Howard
Marty will share some of his most effective flies for Strawberry Reservoir. He will show you how to tie them and talk about how to fish them properly. Marty has been fly fishing the Strawberry Reservoir for over 20 years. This is not a tie along class.

* Effective Fly Patterns for Yellowstone Country and Beyond with Craig Mathews
Craig will tie several of his signature flies which were developed for fishing situations when trout feed super-selectively on specific insect emergences like pale morning duns on the Henry's Fork and Firehole Rivers, Baetis mayflies on the Madison, Beaverhead, Bighorn and spring creeks, caddis emergences on the Yellowstone, Missouri, Madison and Henry's Fork, and midges on all western rivers, lakes and spring creeks. He will discuss the materials used in tying each pattern along with techniques in tying them and the evolution and history behind each fly and much more. Craig is our feature guest speaker for this year's EXPO and owner of Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone. This is a "must see" workshop. This is not a tie along class.

* Effective Flies and Techniques for fishing the Utah High Country with Curtis Fry
In this class you'll learn how to fish the high country lakes and rivers and how to tie flies specifically designed for these beautiful waters. Learn techniques on both fishing strategies as well as tying effective patterns to help you learn to master fishing in high mountain lakes and streams. Learn the one thing that you can do to greatly increase your success when fishing in the mountains and the top 5 myths that hinder you from high country fishing success. Curtis is a well know fly tier, has produced several fly tying videos, and is the Fly Tying Chair for the Expo. This is not a tie along class.

* Beginner Youth Fly Tying Class with Nate Miller
This class is designed for the youth in mind, ages 10-18. Join Nate as he teaches the basics of fly tying; tools, materials, techniques, etc. Parents are welcome to attend. Dave will teach you some of the most important fundamental casting techniques for the intermediate as well as novice fly caster. Bring your own fly rod if you have one. David is a Best of the West Casting Champion and an excellent instructor.
